“All Our Tomorrows” by Amy DeBellis
The narrative: About All Our Tomorrows
All Our Tomorrows by Amy DeBellis introduces readers to three Gen Z women in NYC — all from very different backgrounds. One is from Russia, now working in retail and as a sugar baby, sending money back to her parents in Russia. The second is a British international student at NYU, mourning the loss of her mother while trying to make a career for herself but lost on how to get there. Finally, the third woman is a Korean American online grievance counselor who spends her days answering anonymous letters and setting the writers up with specialists. Each woman faces her own struggles, feels isolated, and is trying to survive the existential feelings of dread in a “broken world.”
The nightcap
True to the story, you’ll even find it in the book, the perfect pairing for this one is a ginger lemonade mocktail or cocktail. And, you probably have the ingredients already! All you need is sugar, water, lemon juice, ginger ale, and vodka (if you want).

It started with a Reddit comment, and “this sense of dread” that Amy felt in her own way and knew (still knows) others felt the similarly. “I wanted to give them sort of like a validation, like you’re not alone in feeling this,” she said. But it was more than creating a story for relatability; Amy also wanted to write something to give readers hope — hope for a better future.
All Our Tomorrows continued to evolve from there, and in this author conversation, we chat about:
Developing three, distinct voices for a multi-POV story
